In the beginning, "A MANDRIA", was just two "pagliaghji" (dry masonry structures built with local stones) that were used as shepherds' huts and for drying chestnuts as well. It is located on a hill overlooking the village, on a spot where an ancient vineyard once grew, attesting to its excellent exposure with a clear view of the mountains.
The two studios, with a fully-equipped kitchen and a mezzanine, as well as the three guest rooms, have been traditionally furnished and entirely renovated using lime plaster.
